Bullet trajectory refers to the path a bullet follows before it hits its target or in our case its victim. Based on the angle the bullet entered our victims body, we can use this information to help us determine the distance the suspect stood away from the victim when they were shot. This is what the next task will have you working on.
What do we know?
The bullet was found wedged between our victims left 9th and 10th rib. It is still unclear however, where our victim was when they died. Were they standing up at the bed? Or we were they killed in bed? Activity one below will have you investigating two scenarios, identifying and calculating where the victim was positioned and therefore where the suspect was standing.
In class you will use a skeleton to help you create a hypothesis.
